  • 900g beef
  • 200g bacon
  • 400g mushrooms
  • 40g butter
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 glasses of red wine
  • 3 glasses of water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 bay leaves



  1. Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Set aside.
  2. Season beef with salt and pepper, sear in the skillet, and set aside.
  3. Sauté mushrooms in butter, then add onions and carrots.
  4. Mix in tomato paste and garlic, followed by flour.
  5. Deglaze with red wine and water, season, and return beef and bacon to the skillet.
  6. Simmer covered until beef is tender.
