Directions:
Brown sausage in a nonstick skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once fully cooked with no pink remaining, sprinkle flour over the sausage. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
Gradually stir in the milk. Bring to a simmer, adding salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper to taste. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to thicken. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Unroll the pie dough and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp the edges and line with parchment paper, filling with dried beans for weight. Bake for 6-8 minutes, then remove the beans and parchment.
Lower oven temperature to 375°F (190°C). Pour the sausage gravy into the prebaked crust. Place a whole biscuit in the center and arrange the remaining biscuits to cover the top. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
